Milad Abbasi
Software Engineer
I’m a software engineer with six years of experience building web applications and services, with a particular fascination for distributed systems and cloud technologies. I speak multiple languages fluently: Go, Typescript, Python, SQL—and English, which is handy for debugging and communicating with people. I’m the kind of person who dives into the details, learns fast, and genuinely enjoys the science behind the code. If there’s an obscure production bug or a tricky performance issue, you’ll probably find me digging into it with way more enthusiasm than is strictly necessary.
At work, I collaborate with engineers to design complex systems—though simplifying them is an even bigger thrill. I team up with product managers to prioritize features (and sometimes persuade them why the thing they want might actually be a bad idea). I also manage the hiring process for new engineers, from resume reviews to interviews, and I mentor developers to help them level up. Code reviews are my jam, and I enjoy setting up solid engineering practices that make everyone’s life easier. I’ve also been known to give the occasional technical talk, where I try to demystify something nerdy and hopefully leave people slightly smarter than when they walked in.
Outside of work, I like to keep things balanced. To stay fit, I’ll go cycling or running, though my anime watchlist often threatens to derail those plans. I have a soft spot for maps and can spend ages scrolling through Google Maps, learning obscure geography I’ll probably never use. My latest accomplishment? Finishing a 1,000-piece puzzle—a feat that’s only slightly less satisfying than solving a stubborn bug.
On a more personal note, I love my wife and family deeply, and I try to live a good life (though I’ll admit I’m better at breaking conventions than commandments). With a B.E. in Computer Engineering, a love for problem-solving, and a bit of humor to keep things light, I’m always up for the next challenge—whether it’s in code, life, or figuring out which anime to watch next.
Feel free to reach me out if you want to build something together, have any questions, or just want to connect.
